This Training Will
- Provides for supervisors and manager, on the recognition, avoidance, control, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the maritime industry.
- Inform workers about their rights and their employer's responsibilities, and explain how to file a complaint with OSHA.
- Cover a variety of safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a maritime site.
This class covers Regulations 1.1 through Regulations 1.24 for Shipyard Employment
These training topics are for open-enrollment training, for site specific, or company specific training some of these topics can be changed to meet site, or company training needs.
After successfully completing this training, students will receive a downloadable certificate of completion.
Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) refers to training that is delivered in a virtual or simulated environment, or when instructor and learner are in separate locations. Virtual instruction environments are designed to simulate the traditional classroom or learning experience.
